barnyard

i was able to get some new pictures of my sister and her family this weekend. i'm still playing around with the pictures of all of them together though. who knew my own niece and nephews would be so hard to photograph?

joe's first tattoo

joe's finally home from basic training and ait. today, he decided to go get his first tattoo. i, of course, had to photograph everything! the tattoo says "Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum." it means, "if you wish for peace, prepare for war." it turned out pretty nice, and it was great to be there during the whole process.

sprinkling rain

today, i picked joel up to stay the night. we tried to go out to the bridge park a while back, but it was closed due to the oil spill and he was pretty disappointed. today, we were able to go. it started sprinkling while we were out, but i managed to snap some pretty good shots despite the rain. i can't believe how grown up he looks in these!

changes

i'm still in the process of editing some of blake's senior photos. some of the changes are very subtle, so you may have to click on the image to see the larger version.

in this one, i removed some of the puffiness seen under the eyes.

blue tint.

amber tint.

in this one, i removed some of the redness seen on the nose and under the eyes.

re-worked

tonight, i spent some time reworking photos that i had previously finished. i learn something new on photoshop every day, and always have to go back and redo things so they're as appealing as i know that they can be. i've got a new black and white action. these are the results.

more blake

both people in the photo below are blake, for the record.

halloween

some of my nieces and nephews came over to carve pumpkins the night before halloween. here, we have a sexy lady pumpkin, a cat, a spider, and a howling wolf with a moon behind it. all their own choices. we had a lot of fun, and they turned out pretty well!
