joe's finally home from basic training and ait. today, he decided to go get his first tattoo. i, of course, had to photograph everything! the tattoo says "Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum." it means, "if you wish for peace, prepare for war." it turned out pretty nice, and it was great to be there during the whole process.
He looks so much more grown up now! (Don't they all, when they go to boot camp...) The look on his face mid-tattoo is priceless.
ReplyDeletei know, liz! it's crazy! between the change in attitude and physical appearance, he's hardly the same joe that left. i think the military really got through to him.
